You Sir, are a wise Sage. A Soothsayer of great wisdom.

However, the XYL told me that what you say is so much bovine scat and that I was indeed a sick hording collector of things no one in their right mind, except maybe some Government Agencies, would want.

Mmmmmmm, I'm thinking it's time for a change around here. Anybody got room for me and my eclectic horde of fine classic and premium receivers?

All,

Don't mistake an affliction for a passion, or vice-versa.

You simply cannot make a comparison between drug and alcohol addiction for a love and passion of beautifully crafted hardware from times and technology past.

Those who stay for the long term will never need to be cured of anything other than the lack of acceptance that you differ from most of the rest of the world. Who else is there to challenge popular beliefs ? Who is there to assist in balancing perspective ? It is you, passionate near-end-of-life government receiver collector and user.

This condition needs no cure, it should be celebrated that you have chosen to hold on to something that actually means something to you. Others can learn from you and ask questions about what makes you different. What an opportunity to share your knowledge ! To be "cured" would be to turn away from the thing that has given you years of joy, in many
 ways.

Consider this thought: just celebrate and turn the power switch to the "ON" position, or vice-versa.

Best regards to all,

-Scott
