[Premium-Rx] Looking for a reference standard for my Racal RA3700 series RX

Hi Ron.

Racal used the same series of reference oscillators in all the RA17xx and
RA37xx series receivers, and also in their transmitter drive units and
Piccolo modems. They are the 9400 and 9420 Oven Controlled Xtal
Oscillators. The 9420 is an order of magnitude more accurate than the 9400,
after a 30 day warm-up. I've regularly seen them on eBay. The 37xx can
also take an external reference oscillator at 1, 5 or 10MHz by selecting the
appropriate DIP switch settings on top of the Reference Oscillator module.

I'm still looking for a spare synthesizer module for my RA3702 as one of
these has an intermittent fault that has defied extensive investigation.

Subject: [Premium-Rx] Looking for a reference standard for my Racal RA3700
series RX

The 10MHz (or is it 1MHz?) reference oscillator has died in my Racal RA 3711
and I would like to replace it with a "new" one, if possible.  If you have
one to sell, I'd love to buy it.  I understand there are at least two
variants of this osciallator used by Racal and I assume that either one will
work.

If anyone has more info about the part numbers for the proper assembly,
please send them along.  I presume the 3700 series used the same ref
oscillators.

Thanks, Ron/W6XY
