Hi,

I recently joined this mailgroup because I'm stuck with my new "old" receiver :-)

I'm pretty busy with collecting and fixing old receivers but I came across a model and type I wasn't familair with. It's a VHF and UHF receiver from the brand ECI (Electronic Communication Inc.). This receiver was in use by the Dutch Airforce in 1994 placed in an airbase control tower. It's a well build receiver with a beautiful frontend.

With this e-mail there's also a picture attached (hopefully this is possible with this mailinglist). Perhaps one of you is better familiar with this receiver. Is there any technical documentation left of the brand ECI?

The receiver is build around a PLL, with two blocks 8 DIP switches (NPC/NMC) (for VHF and two for UHF) it's possible to change the frequency with the NPC and NMC. After changing the frequency you need to correct the frontend (it has a pretty sharp filter).

Can anybody give me some hints, tips and a direction for finding technical documentation?

Kind regards,
Jim (Netherlands)
