[Premium-Rx] 6790/GM for sale

I've decided to part with a 6790/GM that's been put together from odd bits  
of kit and used as a test mule to sort scavenged receiver components.  
 
Fitted filters are all crystal - 2.7 USB, 2.7 LSB, 1.2, 3.4, 6.8 and 16  
khz.
 
Keypads/displays good, lighting is incandescent but good.
 
New battery fitted in April, and I think there is an A7 internal shield  
cover missing, serial number plate on front missing.  A purist might note a  
bit of tuning shaft vibration if run quickly which I think is a missing 
washer  easily remedied if you noticed it and it bothered you.  Case has rack  
rollers fitted.
 
Radio passes BITE but for a 15 error code (sometimes it passes when used  
recently, but almost sure to show up if it's cold) , which as I understand  
it has to do with synthesizer level being inconsistent with what BITE  
expects but works fine.
 
I'm sure it could use an alignment but appears to be working well.
 
I really don't want to ship it, so for now it's pick up in western 'burbs  
of Chicago or at Dayton on Friday for $450 AS IS PICKED UP but as described 
and  working generally.  If it doesn't sell before or at Dayton I'll 
consider  shipping it at a different price but really don't want to if I don't have 
to so  pick up has preference.
