[Premium-Rx] ROHDE & SCHWARZ EK085 RECEIVER QUESTION

Pat,
I own an EK085 but I don't know if it is a late model, as I don't know when it was made, and so far I've been refrained from opening it to look for possible date codes. May be the serial number could help and I will send you mine tomorrow. As you might know, ther is a two digit number which denotes the version, which in my case is "90". Strange enough, this 90 is not listed anywhere as a version or combination of options. This group of digits is on a distinct tag within the serial number on the front panel right top, and theoretically it could be a "06" turned upside down, but I doubt about this because the RX came into my hands in near pristine conditions with very marginal signs of previous use, and I don't know if the tag can be turned over. In any case, it has no PBT control on the front panel, neither did I feel the presence of such a function hidden under the push-buttons. My front panel looks like all of the few images available on the web.
Do you have any ideas on how to date an EK085?

Greetings to all List members,

This is aimed at R&S cognoscenti....

Recently I read an undated R&S "Radiocommunication &  Monitoring" 
Catalogue. This appears to have been produced just prior to the  introduction of the 
EK890 series of receivers as the only HF  Receivers detailed are the EK070 
and EK085.

I was very interested to see "Passband Tuning" listed under the features of 
the EK085. This does not appear at all in any of the relevant  literature 
in my possession.

1. My Question: Do the later model EK085 HF Receivers have Passband  
Tuning ????

As the later production EK890 HF Receiver series, which do have PBT,  were 
controllable using the EK085 as a master I then wondered if later  model 
EK085's actually had this function fitted as standard ???

Can anyone advise on this please?

2. I am also looking for an EK085 Operator Handbook in English, can  
anyone help or suggest any source that can supply one please?
