[Premium-Rx] Matching Mixer Diodes, FETs?

Gentlemen,

"Back in the day" we used to purchase a large quantity of mixer diodes from the same die lot. Then we carefully matched them into quads. The idea was to install a quad or replace the entire quad if a mixer diode was found to be defective.

Is that still the process used today with FETS as well? I noticed that some FETS are mounted on a substrate as a quad. Can I presume they are matched?

We found the matching massively improved performance.

Thanks,

Gary WA0SPM
