Dear Terry

Your poor wife is probably right in suggesting you may have an obsession,
but for the sake of the rest of us, please don't stop:-)))  It's all first
rate research and begins to knit together a whole host of floating strands.

What startled me (as mentioned earlier) was the close similarity between the
front panels of the newer Telefunken e863 (1970s) and the R-1449 and R-1451,
the frequency ranges of the 863 and 1451, their use of Nixie tubes in
exactly the same positions and what may be a similar frequency stabiliser.
I am not a believer in coincidences.
