If this RCVR was in a government inventory and went through the system, it was handled by people that also handle less delicate items.  All they see is a thing.  A thing that was no longer needed, so they are tossing it out and hoping to get a few cents on the dollar from scrap sales. No telling what kind of bins it was in or what kind of other objects were toss in on top of it before it made it out the door.  At least it didn't get sent to the shredder. I was lucky to get one of these beauties that only had some scratches around the front panel rack mounting screw holes.
