During Vietnam, wireless motion sensors disguised as twigs (or turds :) and these were dropped along the trails to telemetry troop movement via a UHF frequency. A tiny pin was pulled which allowed the internal mercury battery to make connection and to start transmitting. I had purchased a pack of these from FAIR Radio sales my wife threw them out :-( No longer available at Fair. Anyone have one or two laying around they want to sell or trade for a WJ fixed-channel receiver? I am doing an article on the history of telemetry/M2M technology.
Thanks
