Adam's results confirm what I've always thought: there is no single test that says a particular receiver is the "best" one technically. From now on perhaps we can recognize that a close-in, third-order intercept is only one of a number of useful tests, along with NPR testing and "on-the-air" operation - not to mention non-technical features such as ergonomics and "value" that affect the choice to purchase a receiver or transceiver.
