Joe,

Try this:

Press the # key on the keypad ... the value following Cr is the software
version... press the # key again and the programmed serial number for 
the radio
appears in the display.

The password to program the radio is obtained by the following formula:

programming password = [ serial number X serial number ] + 427747

press the PGM button until the CF Pass appears

enter the programming password then press ENT

you should now be in programming mode... scroll thru the programmming 
menu with
the * key.
