[Premium-Rx] Dynamic sciences R-110 receiver, mysterious ancillary equipment.

Some time ago, in a military tender, I bid for a Dynamic sciences R-110
Receiver. Described on their website as a Spectrum Surveillance, EMI, Test
receiver. I was not successful. However I did get the ancillary units. A
R-110-40A spectrum display and a strange unit called an RG-1000 Raster
Generator as described on their website. Does anyone in the group know what
this Raster Generator is  actually for? The data on the website is not that
helpful!
