Hello everybody,

Yes Tracey you are right, it is the TURF that I have seen in the following link that has the wire connections.
It is a very informative article.

Steve, I would suggest you african stations since you are 'near' of Latin America. I live in Spain and last night
I picked up some brazilians with a Lowe HF-150 receiver, 4845 khz Radio Cultura and 4885 Khz Radio Clube do Para and on 5005 Khz the hard to catch Radio Nacional de Guinea Equatorial.  Try to catch it and Radio Tanzania
Zanzibar I think that it has a new frequency.
In this link you have a very useful listing: Click on Africa on shortwave

Thanks Michael for the good advices, maybe I should try a BCB filter or it would be better to move house since I am plagued with  noises and interferences. The elevator it is going to make me crazy, technicians does not how to solve the big interferences that comes from the frequency variator.  I f it was not for the Wellbrook antenna I would had abandoned the hobby.
I am quite glad with the Racal 1772 in spite of the fact I have a issue, the out of lock does not work. I have the problem with two MW nearby stations and as I said before with the elevator. I had a Lowe PR-150 preselector but I would like to get some better.

I will have a look to those Racal MA197B and the Plessey. I have seen some used SURF preselectors in a very
good shape and the price is affordable, 100 Euros.

Thank you again for your help

   Kind Regards.

 uros.
