If I understand your message, the "I-Q demodulation mode" sends I and
Q baseband analogic signals to an output. If this is correct, you may
use one of several programs available on the web to process and
demodulate - like Winrad by I2PHD or one of it's derivatives. Take
the baseband signals and feed a sound card input; or take the data
files and send them to the program. Winrad accepts Microtelecom's
Perseus wave format, so possibly some tweaking of formats may be
necessary. I may help if this is the case.
Then you may parse the spectrum chunk and listen/see the signals.
A BFO could simply be a downconversion (numeric) oscillator used to
bring that chunk of band around zero Hz. Not necessarily for SSB or
CW demodulation - it may be a different parlance.
