[Premium-Rx] Rockwell HF-2050

I think the confusion among some may arise from the fact that the
front panel of the HF-2050 is marked as if ISB can be selected.

This was probably because it was a common panel for three variants of
the receiver: R-5099/U, R-5099A/U and R-5104/GRC-508. Only the
R-5099A/U was to be supplied with an IF/Audio3 board that gave ISB
capability (646-6196-001) The other two had no ISB, their card being
numbered 646-6196-002.

Charles may be right (or the engineer he is quoting) that none of the
ISB were made. As Walt says, however, a few were made with the
preselector port (also a feature of the 5099A) and I seem to have one
of them. I got it from Walt, of course, to whom I would defer in any
discussion of this very pleasing receiver.

Did the R-5104, with supposedly beige-coloured front panel, ever
materialise, I wonder?
