Mike,

I have a VHF/UHF Cubic dual RX that has a single RX front panel, it is outfitted with modules to make up almost two complete RXs except for the demod modules, My conclusion was that this receiver was part of an RDF system and the dual receivers, when connected to the correct type of antenna, were used to establish a null to get direction info and that it could still be used as a single RX to listen to the signal you were DFing. I wonder if you have a similar RX only for HF.

Hello,

I have a Cubic R-3038-10 Dual HF receiver. It is a 19" rack mount set similar to the more common R-3030. Unlike the 3030 my R-3038 has only one front panel display.

This is a very nice receiver. It is very quiet and sensitive and works well. The problems I'm having are due to a lack of understanding and I'm hoping somebody here can help.

I can only use one receiver. The radio is fully populated with both sets of receiver boards under the hood and a second set of ports and jumpers on the back but I cannot find the method of toggling back and forth to each receiver. If a button sequence exists that I haven't tried yet I don't know what it might be. I have connected one antenna port to an antenna and the second port to a signal generator on the same frequency thinking this radio might be set to an automatic diversity mode but nothing.

Of lesser importance I'm looking for the right pins on the J-12 Audio MGC port on back to drive an external speaker.

If anyone has, or knows of a manual for this receiver I would appreciate any leads at all. Thanks in advance for any help at all.

Best Regards,
Mike Monnier
