    Just a quick note, some of the info. that I got with my  set, sadly no 
longer with me now, was that the set was designed specifically to  replace 
the EDDYSTONE 1001 receiver in a shipboard installation, it was exactly  the 
same size, and came supplied with adapters to enable replacement of the  
Eddystone set an easy matter, the instruction manual showed diagrams of how to  
do it, so presumably it might well have been made just to update cabin 
receivers  hence no CW/SSB, and the 88-108MHz FM, and the very comprhensive 
input filtering  arrangement, which if I remember correctly was a circuit board 
bigger than the  rest of the receiver. All my enquiries at the time 
suggested that SPT was no  longer in existence. Dave MW1DUJ.
