[Premium-Rx] Racal RA1778 - Some Manuals now available

  Following the discussions a few weeks back concerning the Racal 1778, 
I have posted PDF scans of both the 'Operators Manual' and the 
'Maintenance Manual  - Part 1' on a recently created Yahoo group: RACAL 
RA1778 Owners. The files contain colour scans of both the PCB layouts 
and schematics, as the latter have rather useful test voltages overlaid 
in red. Hopefully in the next few days, the many individual files which 
constitute 'Part 1' will be merged into a single file.

I am presently trying to source an original copy of Part 2 of the 
Maintenance Manual for scanning so that there is a complete set of 
manuals in the public domain, unfortunately I only have a monochrome 
photocopy at the present time. I am also looking for information 
regarding the various versions of IF/AF boards which were fitted to this 
radio, as the alignment details seem to differ quite markedly from one 
version to another - if anybody has PCB overlay, schematic or alignment 
details for versions other than the '364, I would be very pleased to 
hear from you.



Please note that the Yahoo group is currently operating on an 'approved 
member' basis, for no other reason than to deter spammers - naturally, 
contributions from Premium Rx group members would be particularly welcome!
