Greetings to all,

I have recently acquired a lovely PRS-2282A HF receiver.
I am totally new to this model and will greatly appreciate help with any of
the following....

1. Does anyone have a op and service book in PDF or that I can loan and
copy?
2. Can anyone tell me if the large PSU heat sink normally gets very hot
during operation or should it stay reasonably cool.
3. I believe my example has a small fault. Almost as if its AGC is somewhat
lacking in control range. Its S meter reads much higher than it should for a
given RF input (full scale with 40uV pd), and in AM mode a little amplitude
distortions can be heard. This distortion may be eliminated by using manual
RF gain and reducing the gain. This AGC and S meter problem exists for all
demod modes but is most noticable in AM.

Sensitivity is good and as I would expect it to be.
All the modes work and memories store.
