Hello Group:
Well, I guess I'm working too hard.
Terry's post got me thinking; I was mistakenly referring to the Microtel 700, not the Microdyne 1100 in Nigel's post.
How could I do that?
Anyhow, The Microtel is a great receiver - almost DC to daylight. But after the customer retrived it, I returned to my W-J's ... and I'm still very much at home with them.
I apologize for any confusion.
BTW: Thanks Terry for all you do for us W-J guys.
Bob

Hi Nigel:
I think you are much too modest.
By most accounts, I'd call it a premium receiver.
I had one here in the shop some time ago, and got to play with it for a couple of weeks. I don't recall all the test-bench details, but I was generally impressed with its build quality, sensitivity, selectivity, dynamic range, and low noise floor. Since we don't hear or see this name often, I'd rate it as a very capable "sleeper" and an enjoyable radio to operate.
Anyhow, thanks for the info.
Best,
Bob, N1KPR
