I had figured that the unit had a backup battery, but couldn't find it until I got your replies. Also couldn't find it on the schematic so didn't know what the voltage should be until Geoff told me it was 3.6V since the old one had no markings. I connected 3 - 1.2V AAA nicad batteries in series and all is well now. Thanks for the info
