a friend of mine purchased an Eddystone 1650/6 and now is looking for
some software to control the receiver.
Does anybody out there know about a suitable program, or have
information about the communication protocol?

Hi Fabrizio
As you probably know the 1650/6 is a special variant of the 1650 series and
with limited functionality, which is why they generally sell for much less
than a full spec model such as the 1650/9, and why a fair bit of effort
has been put into devising mods to make them more useful.
I don't think many users, aside from the original purchasers, have used
them as they stand and I've not heard of any software being available, but
others may know better on that.
However, I can let you have the specification for the communications
protocol but you'll need to bear with me whilst I get it scanned.
regards
Nigel
