Usually the modulation or spurious sidebands and/or the noise properties of 
the interfering signals limit the
practical useability of very high IP3 front ends.

A +46 dBm IP3 implies a IM limited dynamic range in the order of  115 dB in 
CW bandwidths, and I have yet to see a fielded transmitter with more than 
90 - 100 dB adjacent channel suppression. Should you operate in a 
multi-transmitter environment, all bets are off regarding where the IM 
products will be generated.
