Hi All

Apologies for the off topic posting but there's no information to be found
online so I'm hoping there may be somebody here with knowledge of this
unit.

It's a Racal MA1724 drive unit, similar size and vintage to the MA1723 but
this one has ten crystal controlled channels so no internal microprocessor
or synthesiser and no LCD displays.

I've had this a few years and recently decided to sell it as I'm unlikely
to ever use it now but then discovered that although I bought it as "new",
and it still looks to be new and unused complete with original inspection
tags, it also looks to be missing a circuit board.

>From the markings on the adjacent floating cable mounted connectors this is
 probably PCB number 4.
However, there's no pillars fitted for the PCB and no marks on the
metalwork to indicate that anything might have been fitted and then removed.
This lack of fixings might indicate this was space for an option not
fitted but then I would have expected the unused connecting cables to be better
secured.

If anyone could throw any light on this it would be much appreciated, as
would any other information about this unit.

regards

Nigel
