Hi All,

In case the fault I had with my receiver is a common one. The correct
IC designator is ML5. PIN 4 is +12V, this was short to ground and
causing the PSU to shut down due to over current limiting.

The LM324 was a wierd purple ceramic package with a gold top. I
presume some form of mill spec device. I replaced it with a common
plastic encapsulated device without any problems. All the other OP amps
on the PCB were normal plastic package devices so I presume there was a
reason for the designer specifying the purple ceramic one originally
but can not see why.

Sorry for any confusion caused earlier by suggesting it was IC10 but I
was at work, didn't have access to my info, and my memory isn't what it
used to be.
