Is this another example of the demise of the UK's electronics

Hi Michael

If nothing else I guess it's an interesting sign of the times that we
should even consider the closure of a Japanese subsiduary as "another example
of the demise of the UK's electronics manufacturing base".

Admittedly they provided employment here, and no doubt received hefty
subsidies to encourage that, but I can't quite mourn their passing in the same
way that I did the likes of Marconi and Plessey etc etc.

regards

Nigel
