Gents
Many of you know that I was one of the early birds here on this list, with Bailey-san in the days of yore.
After many decades in the field of RF, and more particularly HF radio and propagation work, I am hanging up my spurs and moving onto other areas of interest.
I have sold or traded off my large and extensive HF radio collection in the last couple of years, both here on this list and on the Great Equalizer. I held onto one of the crown jewels, but have decided to let it go as well.
Some years ago I acquired an essentially new EK-07 that was acquired through a contact of Deutsche Rundfunk. They had it in inventory as a spare, for a console setting. It came with the original R&S metal spares box, with all spares intact. I put it in a correct R&S cabinet, and kept it in my office. I also acquired an matching accessory demodulator unit, the NZ-07. Those, as anyone knows, are rare as hens teeth to find.
So, there is the EK-07 unit, the demod NZ-07, both in correct cabinets, and the spares for the receiver.
Also, all manuals and cables for both will be included. It has been some time since I last used either of these, so they are going as is. But, again, the receiver is new. I have maybe 10 hours on it (I had another EK07 I used daily, sold long ago.)
I am going to ask $5K for the lot. Firm on that. I live in San Jose, California. Pickup would be great, but I would crate these up and ship truck freight to anyplace in the USA for a price. They are too heavy to UPS, needs to be trucked, in a plywood crate.
I remain loyal to the many chaps I have been associated with here on the Premium list, so will give you all a few days to think about this, then I will list it on the Equalizer. It will go instantly, I am sure. No pics yet. It is what it is, they are both pristine and beautiful condition.
Cheerio
