Thanks for that.
 
I recently bought PICs and some nice big LCD displays, enough for 5 of the  
6 sets recently pulled out of storage, so quite pleased I haven't  started 
building yet:-)
 
I'm hoping I won't need all 5 but know I'll be needing at least 3 or 4 so  
many thanks for a really useful project.
 
I've been thinking that a next step might be to use a graphics display so  
the S-meter could be incorporated too but for now I'll be more than happy 
wih  these.
