Hi All,

Thanks for the suggestions about what to call this thing.  I guess it's 
a 500kHz to 30 MHz narrow band tuner/converter with 455kHz output.  It 
does require an external 40MHz 0 dBm 2nd LO signal to operate.   If 
anyone is interested, the price is $300.  This set was never in service 
and still has the factory seal and protective plastic film on the case.
