Hello to the Group!
I am selling one of my personal Collins 851S-1 
receiver . It is in CCA excellent condition (almost MINT), both 
electrically as well as aesthetically.
I have purchased this radio as a 
back-up to the one I have in my shack just in case something was going 
wrong, now I’ve found a cheaper solution for the same purpose so I’ve 
decided to sell this one.
I describe the radio as being "almost" Mint 
because it has one tiny scratch on the front panel and the inlays of 
the knobs show some small signs. This is almost invisible in normal 
light and can be seen only with a fluorescent light coming from the 
side (i’ve tried to show this on the pictures). Apart from that the 
radio shows no wear.
I have used it really few hours and I believe that 
also the original owner should have used this radio really a little. It 
can works both on 110 as well as on 220 volts.
Has original Collins 
factory installed filters and it will come complete with a copy of the 
instructional manual on CD. 
If you are serious about owning a 
collector quality Collins 851S-1 you could hardly find a better one 
unless its new unopened in the original box! 
Sensibility is at the 
level of the Top receivers, noise floor is a little higher than modern 
radio but the sound its speaker produces is definitely a pure joy, 
better than any DSP based radio sitting here in my shack, both in AM as 
well as in SSB.
The radio is actually in Italy. I can easily ship 
worldwide, delivery to US will be free of charge to my office in 
California.
