[Premium-Rx] WJ 8718 problem

Well, that was easy. I unplugged the 1 MHz cable from my Rubidium
frequency standard, and flipped the CLOCK switch on the 8718 back to
INT. I think the voltage out of the standard is a little high. The WJ
spec is "a 1 MHz reference signal of at least 50 mv rms into 50 ohms".
The lowest I could adjust the standard output was 1 volt rms, so maybe
it was causing the internal clock to generate harmonics?? The Austron
frequency standard has four 1 MHz outputs on a plug-in card, each
adjustable with a 20-turn pot, so I could modify one of them to lower
the voltage. A project for another day - right now I think I'll just
enjoy clean CW for a while! :-)
