Oh bugger, I'm really sorry to hear that:-(
Hopefully it will have sacrificed itself in a good cause and there'll be no
more damage further down the line.
Presumably 275 volt is the RMS rating which should be fine, I was assuming
the 430 volts shown on the schematic would be the peak voltage which would
allow a higher RMS voltage but perhaps less protection.
I was concerned about your earlier question as to why they didn't fit a
fuse, especially when I realised there were no fuses in mine either, but then
remembered and have just confirmed from the manual that the front panel on/off
switches are actually 2 Amp circuit breakers.
