Hello Frank
How many mechanical filters are these suppose to have?According to the manual at 6.1.3 there supposed to be 6 filters and yet the pictures in the manual only show 5 filters but the circuit has 6 filters.my receiver which is supposed to be a R3030A has only 5 filters. they are 526-8477-050 , 060 , 030 , 020 , 010
Do you know what they bw's are? I could not find any info on those part numbers on the net using google.
BTW I thought the price the guy on ebay wanted for the 2nd IF module is just plain greedy $300. The other modules I need have already been sold.
The spare CPU module I have a is 2140-1134 (sv 1.2 on paper label) . Looking at the module numbers in the manual my receiver has late model versions. The label on the front has the name R-3030(V) and has the round milspec socket for the ac power cable.
I don't know that I have R-3030A receiver? What do you think?
Lee

Lee,
I think any one of them will work. You will not hurt anything trying. I found Cubic used the same boards inside a number of module part numbers. Look inside the 3030 manual and you will find there was a 1 MHz. reference option.
The 3030 and 3030A modules are covered in the 3030 manual on Premium. The only real difference between both is the power connector / Audio output, filters and software.
Take the 3090 for instance Cubic changed the front end preselector, first mixer, added a divide by 10 board in the synthesizer output module, reference because it needed 5 mHz for the second LO and software. All the other modules are the same as 3030/3030A. I actually changed out the VLF modules and converted it to a 3030. Now I will be able to convert it back to VLF on one side. I also have a R2307 which is a 3030 with TNC connectors on the back. Both chassis have under 200 hours. The VLF tunes 0 to 500 KHz and with a divide by 10 on the output of the synthesizer it should work quite well for phase noise.
Enclosed the software for the 3030A so you can burn your own EEPROMS if you find a 3030 CPU.
You might contact the guy on ebay and see if he can help you. $50 a module is not a bad price. A guy in the UK wanted $75 plus shipping a module for 3090 parts. That ended up over $100 a module Frank

I have (two) Reference and 2nd L.O. modules "2140-1139 1mHz A5" and "2140-1135 10mHz"
The 2140-1135 10mHz is the correct one for the R-3030A The one on ebay is 2541-1105C 1mHz
Can I use the 2140-1139 1mHz A5 I already have and what is the difference between them all?
Do you have a manual for the R-3030A?
Lee
