I have bought these from her in the past, and yes, the adapter is 
useful, but I would *NOT* fit this into a receiver directly without 
changing the battery that comes with it for a new NiMH battery.  These 
come with an old Ni cad fitted, which *WILL* leak eventually, as sure as 
day follows night.  Having just spent a day or two or more repairing the 
extensive damage to three Racal CPU boards caused by leaking batteries, 
I speak with some feeling...

Both types of NiMH battery are readily available, at least in the US 
from Mouser and others, made by Varta, so it seems a pity not to fit a 
new one which is pretty much leak proof.  The type fitted to this eBay 
board is a bit cheaper, but the black one was around $10 last time I 
bought one from Mouser.  OK, I will do the research...
