An older song says "Love the one you're with." So I
try to love whatever receiver it literally in hand at
the moment.

I do find that adding a spectrum scope of some sort
makes any HF receiver more useful in these days of low
sunspot activity.

Finally, since software-defined radios appear to be
the way to the receiver of the future, I am beginning
to appreciate my WinRadio 313i and FSK decoding
software more each day.  If someone would produce a
front panel with controls to make SDRs more tactile,
we might achieve the best of both worlds - Silver
Shadow meets BMW 850i.
