Larry,

  The value varies all over the map.  Several questions have to be answered 
1st.
1.  Is it an 8617A or 8617B?
2.  If it is a B model is it a B or B(S1)?
3.  Sometimes the S1's are not marked as such.
4.  What options are listed on the back option plate?
5.  Are the options still there?  A lot of radios will be missing listed 
options.
6.  Is it purported to work.?
7.  These radio's can be a real handful to repair.

This is just a basic list of questions.  The B models have quieter LO's than 
the A models.  The B(S1)'s are generally more desirable as they are a easier 
to add options to.  The option firmware resides in the processor firmware as 
opposed to the options each carrying their own firmware in the earlier 
version.
