Larry,
In the past I shared with the group the solution I had in using a switching power supply instead of the heat generating internal supply for the HF 2050. The heat had dried out the insulating foam gasket aroung the oven and caused a short which lead me to look at a replacement. I used a supply from Astron which was about 1/4 the size and cost about $50.

Subject: [Premium-Rx] HF 2050
Recently purchased a Collins HF2050. Which is the best way to cool the
power supply? Muffin pan pulling the air from the top or pushing the
air from the bottom?
Regards
Larry Strong
