Hi Everybody,

I have recently acquired two multicouplers made by Mu-Del Electronics
Inc. One is VHF (MDP-3300) and the other is UHF (MDP-2296).
They are rack mounted and contain an amplifier block, an 8 to 1
passive splitter and eight output sockets, all linked together with
rigid coax.
Has anyone in the group have any experience using these or similar,
and does anyone know if it is OK to feed a wide band antenna (such as
a log periodic) directly into the input? There does not seem to be any
pre-filter or protection circuit - unless it is contained inside the
amplifier block.
Also, do I have to terminate any unused outputs? If I don't will it
upset the operation of the splitter?
Apart from the information on http://www.mu-del.com/Multicouplers.htm
has anyone seen a full technical spec for these?

Thanks for any assistance,
Oliver M1DYW
