Geoff,
Mine came from an overseas embassy.  It was provided to them by the 
company I work for, I just happened to be there when the embassy decided 
to get rid of it at an auction.  The receivers work, but the selcall 
unit doesn't.  I mainly want the programming/service information on the 
receivers.  They need to be re-programmed by dipswitch then aligned.  I 
have seen a procedure from a guy in Japan, but don't quite understand it.
You are right, there must be information out there somewhere.  There 
must also be hams that work there, finding them seems difficult.
