Hi
I had a Noise problem with 590A 's High Voltage generator. It was leaking
noise into DC power lines. I increased the stock Series L and Parallel
C values. This fixed the problem which was an annoying background noise
especially with AGC pumping.
Radiated noise from the display usually happens when antennas are too
close to the receivers or indoors. Sometimes untuned/unmatched antennas
as well as ungrounded or incomplete setups may cause the noise to leak into other receivers.
I dont think display noise is strong enough to enter a nearby receiver via
EMI/RFI. Although its low frequency contents may enter other receivers.
Use of Current Baluns / Chokes in Antenna lines is a good cure. Also adding Inductance and Capacitance to DC power lines where the display and the high voltage generator are connected may help.
Regards and 73
