[Premium-Rx] R&S ESM500/ESM500A/ESM1000

Premium-RX-ers,

Are there any owners of the Rohde ESM series of VHF/UHF receivers who might 
be able to provide some information on these fine receivers (comparison of 
features between them, any observations on performance, etc...)? There seems 
to be no information available other than original specification data from 
the manufacturers and a few references in Ulrich Rohdes excellent texts on 
receiver design. Are there any R&S collectors websites that might have some 
information?

Also, anyone who might have compared the ESM series to the WJ-8617B/8618B?
