[Premium-Rx] HF-2050 problem

Hi, fellas. I was cleaning out the basement and decided to fire up my oldest and least utilized Rockwell-Collins HF-2050. It hadn't been on for a number of months so I used a variac to gradually crank up the voltage. Doing this very slowly turned on the set just fine, but when I cranked back the voltage to below 90v, the set quit working and a fault light remained on when I reverted to 110 or 115 v. The diagnostic BITE showed an A3 fault, Debug 2 041, Debug 3 0002H and Debug 4 00BFH. I have no idea what the debug 4 means, although the A3 fault lies within the IF/Audio stage. The good news is that if turned off, and then turned back on at the normal voltage, no fault light comes on and everything works fine, except that the audio output on the speaker is very low, even at max volume, whereas the external speaker connection on the rear produces fine volume. I've not had this ever happen before and wonder if anyone else has had the same issue. I seem to have a faulty RF/Noise blanker potentiometer as well. It works but not as it should. Does anyone have a spare one.....they look identical to the Volume/Squelch control by the way. Thanks! Finally if anyone wishes to purchase the rig, let me know as I've had "orders from up high" to lighten my receiver load!!!
