[Premium-Rx] Be Careful: The eBay HF1000 Phishing Scam

Excellent quote Tim. Sadly, it has come to that. The simple solution for any
situation where you think there's something phishy going on it to not use
the link, or the supplied phone number, but open the known-good link or
phone number you already have, and check from there. It's so rare that any
of that stuff is real, that I simply forward it to ebay/paypal/whatever
spoof.

I recently 'won' a B&W 381 T/R Switch on ebay-and nearly immediately (within
an hr) had gotten the usual "Congratulations..." message-but while it LOOKED
very authentic, there was SOMETHING about it that made me
suspicious-including a misspelled word. When I put my cursor on the link, it
too looked good, but the letters 'sp' or something preceded the ebay part of
the URL. I said "Ah ha!" and went instead to the proper ebay page (by going
to ebay then using 'My ebay' to get to the page) and paid from there.

You simply cannot be too careful.
