Just checked -- the Serial number is on the front, under the handle
Mine says "R-590A Receiver, Ser. No 1818, Harris, Rochester NY USA"

Yours will have similar -- either R-590 or R-590A.

The serial number sticker on the back will tell you whether it's an A or not
-- Harris was very specific when they changed models.
You probably have the 590, not the 590A version, check it though.

Fellas, a bit a trivia information about the Canadian R590A's.  First, they
weren't used in our Wullenweber's at Masset and Gander, but rather at Naval
stations on shore (Aldergrove and Mill Cove) as well as on board ship as
replacements for the venerable Rockwell-Collins HF-2050.  They're still the
front line receiver for these purposes.  I too have a Harris R590 (labelled
R-5095B/G) with ISB installed.  I'm still not 100% clear whether this is the
straight  model or A model.  Same source and it's also available to the
