Many thanks for the url.  Now I know what DAFC is I'll have to see if I 
can make it work on my unit.
I've  looked over the WJ 357 and it looks a lot like my 105.  The 
biggest difference I see is that my 105 has addtional band and probably 
more filters but it doesn't  have a noise blanker.   So if I say that 
the WJ 357 is a crippled DMS-105 with a noise blanker would I be far 
off?
Next task is to see if I can piece together and use the Nixie schematic 
of the 357
