I bought two of those eBay Canadian demilled HF-2050
and have restored them to perfect condition both
functionally and cosmetically, finding parts is not
that hard especially with the help of some of the
memebers of the Premium-RX group. The nice thing about
the Canadian demilled HF-2050s is how they went about
demilling them by carefully tapping with a hammer or
snipping out the same parts in each receiver while
leaving other areas in perfectly good condition it was
not too difficult to replace the damaged components
and "re-mil" the receivers, a far cry from how the US
demils equipment by rolling over them with a tank. The
worst of the demiling process was the smashing of the
front panel including the LCD displays, this was
solved by purchasing a replacement front panel from
that surplus outfit in Montreal, without knowing I
could get those front panels I would not have
attempted to repair the receivers. FYI I bought the
last two RXs that the eBay seller had.
