Hello,

John Collins, moderator here. Over the past week, John Ceresole, Jan Skirrow, and myself have been trying to understand an occurrance we are seeing with our list membership functions.

Suddenly, and simultaneously, there were 14 suspensions of membership posting privileges, allegedly due to an overabundance of bounces...that's 14 unrelated individuals whose emails began bouncing simultaneously...smells fishy. John Ceresole has sent emails to the effected members, and they indeed bounced.

While we have been trying to figure this stuff our, another 3 or 4 instances of this same issue occurred today.

I'm sure we could figure this out, given the time, but we are concerned that with the e-attack atmosphere as it is, we may well be too late.

Is there anyone who is genuinely savvy on PC/mailman software behavior AND industry (including ISP's) activities with new "protective" routines, or for that matter, hackers with new "attack" routines that might cause this sort of issue?

If you are blessed with the talents I describe, and you have a bit of time to donate to the cause, please contact me, John Collins, at monitor at referencevideo.com .

with many thanks

John Collins
