[Premium-Rx] New WJ8617B problems

  You are probably a victim of 1 or more "red end" tantalum capacitor 
failure(s).  The smoke was probably from burnt resistor(s). You could also 
have some board damage.   I would suggest replacing them with milspec M39003 
type caps.  These are hermetically sealed so you will not have burned 
circuit boards if the cap fails.  These caps show up on EBay at quite 
reasonable prices.  BTW, the high voltage supply uses a couple of the caps. 
I would change those out even if they seem to be OK.  If you are lucky the 
HV assembly wil not be soldered shut.  I have seen arcing problems with 
these supplies, a little bit of Corona dope does wonders in curing that.
