HI, Has anyone ever come across a slightly different variant of the 100KHz
IF convertor for the RA1792? Both my 1792s have one of these fitted, the PCB
number is 49-0122 on both of them, and both work fine. However, today, I
found one fitted to another set which again works fine, but as well as the above
circuit board, this one has a smaller board half the size of the 49-0122 board
mounted on top of it, labelled 49-0123, containing a number of filter
inductors/caps, a Mini-circuits SRA-1 mixer, and a few transistors, power supply
for it taken from the small pin near J5 on the normal board, and 3 SMB type
skts labelled J1A, J2, J3. These are not connected to anything, so presumably it
fulfils some function not present on this set, anyone have any ideas of its
function? I will keep it if its likely to be useful, so would love to know,
no details in any of my 3 different service mans, just the normal unit, any
ideas? Dave
