[Premium-Rx] WJ-8712 gurus?

Hi Folks,

I've searched the 4 pdf archive files to no avail, but can't quite figure out how to do a search of the reflector text since the 4th archive file up to the present.  I'm sure there's been a bit of relevant traffic since then but here goes:  can anyone give me a quick tutorial on the differences between the WJ-8712, 8712A, and 8712T and 8712P variants?  I understand that the A-model has enhanced DSP filtering performance.  Is the T version a variant of the vanilla 8712 or the 8712A?   I've heard chatter about an ERGO program that controls the rig, but I'd probably end up just rolling my own using labview or labwindows anyway.  Is there a standard RS-232 command set that I can pipe instructions to/from the box?  Sorry to rehash an old thread, but if you can point me to text on this, I'd appreciate that as well.
